June 20. West Seattle

This was a long one! I logged nearly 30,000 steps (thanks Lynn for showing me the iPhone step tracker...duh!). My left quad also kept getting tight so I ended up downloading the Lime bike app out of thin air, which was once again a wondrous thing to me, and hopping on a Lime bike for a mile and a half through downtown Seattle. It was glorious. From there I got on a water taxi to Seacrest on Alki, and did the last 2.7 miles on foot over Fairmount St. in West Seattle over to Fauntleroy. Seattle is beautiful
One of their majesties in Shoreline
These neighbors have an extravagance of every possible holiday/spiritual decoration in their yard at all times of the year
You're going to have to believe me that there is a castle back there
Bitter Lake! Water lilies! And geese
I don't understand the random placement of funereal urns. Also, how do they get the flowers up there?
Intentional but hidden resting spot
Greenwood Space Travel Supply Co! (is in fact a non-profit writing tutorial place for kids started by Dave Eggers)
Greenwood Space Travel Supply Co!
Businesses you don't notice when you're driving
Music place I had no idea about! Just a mile from my house
Monet moment
Ways to make a living
Burma Shave inspired display
More Burma Shave on the @InterurbanTrail
@NakedCity
Easily the most beautiful crosswalk
I once sat next to Sully on a plane and he told me how he'd muscled a damaged jet to a cornfield safely. Then he opened this tavern by the zoo. Sully's
Art makes everything better
Octopus is my favorite
Tentacles! For the tentacular
Possibly controversial mermaid sits on octopus
Made it to the Fremont Bridge!
Footpath approaching South Lake Union
Waiting for the water taxi
Storm above, wake below
That Seattle skyline is always a marvel to behold
Out of sequence, but what isn't? Aurora Bridge from the Fremont Bridge
Fairmount Ave magic place, and a welcome uphill walk (downhill is harder on the knees)
Little miracles
Particularly egalitarian approach to traffic circle tending
Made it!
Dinner with bacon heart
Yay!
